Bluebonnet Family Medicine Health and Wellness Clinic

Melissa Skinner began her nursing career over 29 years ago. She has nursing experience in acute care with a primary focus in trauma and emergency care. She started her nursing career as an LVN in 1994 and earned her associate’s degree in nursing in 2001 from Navarro Junior College in Corsicana. She later completed her Bachelors degree in Nursing in 2015 at American Sentinel University in Colorado. Finally in 2018 she completed her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in Illinois and began her role as a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. In this role, she continued her work in Emergency medicine and Urgent care prior to joining Bluebonnet Family Medicine Health and Wellness Clinic in Ennis Texas. She is passionate about health promotion and disease prevention and currently taking courses on the practice of functional medicine. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and is committed to building strong relationships with her patients and providing compassionate, holistic care.
